Nimba County Superintendent Kou Meapeh Gono, alongside Gompa City Mayor Hon. Samuel S. Hardt and former Nimba County Inspector B. Mack Gbleewon, visited the scene of a devastating fire that erupted in Ganta City, affecting several businesses in the LPMC Community.

The fire, which broke out on September 27, 2024, led to the destruction of over five stores and numerous local dry goods. In response to the crisis, county officials swiftly intervened to assess the damage and provide support to those affected.

In an immediate effort to assist the victims, the County Administration presented 25 bags of 25kg rice and over 100 sacks of water to those whose businesses were destroyed.

Superintendent Gono confirmed that the administration is actively working with the Liberian government to facilitate the restoration of the damaged properties and support the fire victims during this challenging time.
