The Chief executive officer (CEO) of the Jungle Water Group of Investment Liberia, Mr. Tomah Seh Floyd Sr. has revealed that Nimba County stands to receive a fire service truck from him as part of his contribution to the county’s development.
Mr. Tomah assured that the truck will be made available to the county’s leadership in two days. He disclosed that all legal documents and financial processes that lead to the purchasing of the truck has been completed and it is currently at Bo-Water side, the border between Liberia and Sierra Leone.
He added that the estimated cost of the truck is a little over Ten Thousand Two Hundred United States Dollars ($10,2000 USD). Mr. Tomah furthered noted that the fire truck will be stationed in Sanniquellie City, the Capital of Nimba County to respond to any fire disaster in the county.
“We have procured a fire service truck; the truck is currently at the Bo-Water side. The documentation is done. We are working with the Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) to make sure that we meet all requirements. It supposed to be here today but we still settling some problem”, Floyd narrated.
He made the statement during his birth anniversary celebration held on July 16, 2024 at Jackie’s Resort in Ganta City, Nimba County.
The occasion brought together several officials of local government in Nimba County including the Superintendent Madam Kou Miapeh Gono.
It can be recalled that several individuals including women and children have lost their lives at the results of repeated fire outbreak in homes and business premises in the county.
Bringing a fire service truck to Nimba will be a serious boost to the development of Nimba County.
