Monrovia, Liberia – February 20, 2025 The National Transit Authority (NTA) has strengthened its public transport services with the addition of three brand-new Tata buses, enhancing accessibility and efficiency for commuters across the country.
In a statement, the NTA disclosed that the 63-seater buses were procured through the Government of Liberia’s Public Sector Investment Plan (PSIP) under the Fiscal Year 2024 National Budget.
The arrival of these modern buses is expected to ease transportation challenges faced by Liberians, particularly in Monrovia and other key routes. Public transport in the country has long struggled with overcrowding and inadequate vehicles, making this investment a crucial step toward improving mobility.
The NTA, Liberia’s primary public transit provider, has been working to modernize its fleet and expand services to better serve the growing population. The new buses are expected to provide safer, more reliable, and affordable transport options for daily commuters.
With this latest addition, the NTA reassures the public of its commitment to strengthening the public transportation system and enhancing commuting experiences across Liberia.
