It was just another bustling afternoon on Ganta’s main street. Vendors lined the sidewalks, children darted between parked vehicles, and motorcycles weaved through traffic. But at exactly 3:15 PM, the usual rhythm of the day was shattered by the crackling sound of fire and a sudden burst of black smoke. At first, it was just a small flame licking at the hood, but within moments, the entire front of the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The thick smoke billowed into the sky, drawing the attention of nearby shopkeepers and pedestrians.
Shouts of alarm filled the air as onlookers scrambled to help. Some rushed to fetch buckets of water, while others waved frantically at passing cars, urging them to move away before the fire could spread. No one had seen anything unusual before the fire started. The driver was nowhere in sight, and there had been no sign of an accident.
The entire vehicle was already burned to arches upon the arrival of fire firghters in Nimba who have gone to calm the situation.
