Harper, Maryland County – March 6, 2025 – The Harper City Corporation, under the leadership of Mayor Abraham B. Jackson, has extended its “Harper for Clean City” campaign to new areas of Harper District, including Jacksonville Township, Tubman Township, and the J.J. Dossen Hospital. This marks the first time in decades that such an initiative has reached these communities.
Mayor Jackson, speaking in an interview, emphasized that the campaign aims to improve sanitation and promote a healthier environment for residents. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding the initiative to more areas within Harper.
“My administration will continue working in line with President Joseph N. Boakai’s ARREST agenda to enhance the lives of Liberians,” Mayor Jackson stated.
The expansion of the campaign aligns with the government’s broader efforts to improve public health and sanitation across Maryland County. Residents have welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that it will lead to lasting improvements in waste management and environmental conditions.
