Praia, Cape Verde – August 18, 2024 – The Liberia Football Association (LFA) is making strides in women’s football development as Women’s Football Manager, Massa Paasewe Johnson, and Women’s Football Desk Officer, Aletha Massaquoi, participate in a two-day seminar focused on administration and leadership in women’s football. The event, organized by the West African Football Union (WAFU A) in collaboration with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), aims to unite women’s football administrators from the region to foster growth and innovation in the sport.
The seminar serves as a platform for brainstorming ideas to enhance women’s football, equipping participants with essential tools to implement effective programs. It also provides valuable networking opportunities with fellow leaders and administrators in women’s football.
WAFU A Executive Director, Mapathé Gaye, highlighted the significance of the seminar, stating, “This initiative underscores our commitment to the development of women’s football in West Zone A, with the unwavering support of CAF.”
CAF’s Head of Women’s Football, Meskeren Goshime, reinforced this commitment, emphasizing the organization’s dedication to professionalizing women’s football across Africa. “Through sustainable development programs and knowledge sharing, we aim to elevate the standards of women’s football on the continent,” Goshime remarked.
As the seminar progresses, the LFA representatives are poised to gain insights and strategies that could significantly impact the future of women’s football in Liberia and the broader West African region.
